Hey Students! Are you excited by digital campaigns, website content, and turning data into actionable insights? Become a Digital Marketing Intern at Royal Credit Union! In this role, you'll support digital advertising and email initiatives, update and optimize website content, and analyze campaign and web performance to help strengthen Member engagement and marketing ROI.

All applicants must be located in the Chippewa Valley Area & include a resume, cover letter, transcript and their anticipated graduation date when applying. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months and be enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship. Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI, throughout the school year and during breaks.

What You'll Do:


The Digital Marketing Intern plays an active role in supporting the marketing team with the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing projects and campaign initiatives. This position will assist with a wide range of activities, including digital campaign coordination, performance reporting, website content management system (CMS) updates, search and answer engine optimization (SEO/AEO), and various other digital marketing needs. This position is also responsible for monitoring and analyzing campaign data, providing timely and actionable insights to optimize advertising efforts, improve Member engagement, and provide recommendations on improving marketing's ROI.

Our Commitment To You:

• Compensation: $17.85-19.98 (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Intern Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Support digital marketing campaigns by coordinating and reporting on initiatives across Google Advertising, social media, and online and mobile banking promotions
• Maintain Royal Credit Union's website by updating content in Kentico, uploading images and videos, checking accuracy and brand alignment, and helping optimize website performance with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Assist with search and answer engine optimization by using tools such as Google Search Console, Moz, Squiz, Siteimprove, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog to support link-building and content optimization projects.
• Prepare reports and actionable insights on campaign, SEO, web traffic, and performance data; support dashboards and data reporting; and help identify creative solutions for evolving data needs and omni-channel campaign efforts.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop creative ideas for content, campaigns, and advertising, while providing organized administrative and project support and completing other assigned responsibilities in alignment with Royal's culture and compliance expectations.

What's Needed For This Position:

• Enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, technology, Information Communication Technology or similar field.
• Must be bondable.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent time management.

What We'd Love To See:

• Experience working, volunteering, or participating on a team or club in a similar field.
• Experience and/or knowledge of analytics and reporting software, including Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and Power BI.
• Experience and/or knowledge of SEO principles.
• Work efficiently in a high volume environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Work Schedule:

• Working approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer. Generally working variable hours between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday based on class schedule.
• Must be able to work remotely throughout the school year and during breaks.
• This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will go from January 2027 through January 2028.
• Must be able to commit to the 12 month internship.

Training:

• Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out-of-town learners may be eligible for reimbursement of travel and lodging expenses, subject to Royal's travel and expense reimbursement guidelines.
• Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal's culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
