Requirements

• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy - Required
• Proof of current CPR certification - Required
• Current driver's license - Required
• Reliable transportation and insurance - Required
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant - Required
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy - Required

Responsibilities

• Administers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Administers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients.
• Accurately documents daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients' status and submits clinical paperwork on time.
• Attends educational meetings and contributes to department in-services.
• Notifies relevant personnel of equipment failures, supply needs, and departmental changes.
• Schedules clients and performs various office tasks.
• Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities.
• Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or other third-party payors.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
