SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC)

Summary Serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) in the Command Information Office of NAVFAC SE. Responsibilities Plan work for subordinates, set and adjust short‑term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Review IS and IT programs to assess compliance with plans and policies and alignment with business and operational requirements. Interpret laws, regulations, and policies to guide business decisions and project execution. Plan, establish, and maintain awareness of the IS and IT budgets for the AOR, covering multiple funding streams and expenditure categories. Represent the CIO in official matters and cover grade‑appropriate responsibilities of the CIO Support Line during the CIO’s absence. Support the NAVFAC CIO with developing and implementing policies and procedures. Participate in continuous professional development program; complete at least 20 hours of cyber workforce development annually, documented in an individual development plan. Qualifications At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑13 or the next lower grade level, including private or public sector experience with tasks such as: Developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies for IT service planning and delivery. Assessing the effectiveness of new or evolving IT security concepts, standards, and methods. Interpreting cyber security mandates and directives to determine program impact. Providing guidance to leadership, operational staff, and customers to ensure secure and available IT infrastructure. Ensuring integration of IT programs and services for compliance with IT policies and procedures. Additional Requirements Must meet all pre‑employment requirements, including security clearance, travel, drug testing, financial disclosure filing, bargaining unit status, etc., as applicable.
