Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

• Lead civil site development projects from planning through construction

• Design and oversee grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and site development improvements

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams

• Support permitting, construction administration, site visits, and field observations

• Review submittals, shop drawings, and alternative design solutions

• Provide technical leadership while ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and schedule goals

Seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (PE) to lead civil site development projects for commercial and industrial facilities. This individual will manage grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, permitting, and construction support efforts while working directly with clients and project teams. Strong site development, permitting, and Civil 3D experience are the biggest priorities.

Skills and Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering and active PE license

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience supporting commercial and industrial developments

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Strong site development experience including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout

• Experience managing projects through permitting and regulatory approvals

• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, and project teams

• Willingness to support field activities and travel to project sites as needed

Plusses • Large-scale industrial development experience

• Hydrology Studio, HEC-RAS, or similar hydrologic modeling software

• Stormwater drainage reporting and NPDES compliance

• Design-build project experience

• Construction administration and cost estimating experience

Experience mentoring designers/drafters and coordinating multiple stakeholders
