Sr Controls Engineer

Sr Controls Engineer Reporting to the Manager of Controls & Security Tech Solutions, the Senior Controls Engineer leads the development and execution of medium‑to‑high complexity capital projects at Hershey. Job Overview As part of the Controls & Security Tech Solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, selecting, installing, commissioning, and optimizing control systems for manufacturing environments while ensuring compliance with industrial control network and cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities Lead the design, selection, installation, and commissioning of control systems and automated equipment Develop and assess control systems for manufacturing environments Manage small capital projects, including scope, cost, and schedule Ensure compliance with industrial control network and cybersecurity standards Support startup, optimization, and troubleshooting Partner cross‑functionally across engineering, operations, and vendors Train manufacturing and maintenance teams Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field 3+ years of relevant experience Additional Qualifications PLC/PAC programming (Rockwell, Siemens) HMI/SCADA (FactoryTalk, Ignition) Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems Strong problem‑solving and communication skills Ability to travel (~30%+) Benefits and Perks Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Career development opportunities Equal Opportunity Statement The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
