This is a confidential search, with company details shared with qualified candidates.The OpportunityMy client is the go-to data infrastructure partner for frontier AI labs — every major frontier AI lab is already a customer, and they’re rapidly becoming the standard partner for YC companies building on top of large language models and AI agents. They’ve raised a $30M Series A and are valued at $3.2B, backed by Altos Ventures, BoxGroup, and Y Combinator, with angel investors from Google DeepMind, OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta Superintelligence Labs, and Microsoft AI. The founding team was built from Citadel Securities, Meta, Google, Silver Lake, and Morgan Stanley — you’d be recruiting alongside, and for, that caliber of talent.They’re hiring a Business Recruiter to drive full-cycle hiring across business and operations functions at a defining moment — joining directly alongside the founding team and the Lead Business Recruiter to build out every business-side function from the ground up.The RoleYou’ll own full-cycle recruiting for Strategic Projects, Operations, and GTM roles, building proactive pipelines from elite finance, consulting, PE, and tech firms — think Jane Street, Citadel, MBB, Goldman Sachs, and Palantir.What you’ll do:Run full-cycle recruiting — sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing — across business and operations rolesBuild proactive talent pipelines from elite finance, consulting, PE, and tech firmsPartner directly with the Lead Business Recruiter and executive team to define hiring profiles, prioritize searches, and run rigorous interview processesBuild and improve recruiting infrastructure — scorecards, interview rubrics, sourcing tooling, and the offer-and-close motionTrack funnel metrics, model conversion at every stage, and iterate on what’s workingWhat They’re Looking For4–7+ years of recruiting experience, with a track record spanning both agency and in-house environments and a proven ability to close strong talentExperience recruiting at high-growth startups (Series A–B)Direct experience recruiting from elite talent pools — finance, consulting, PE, or top-tier tech companiesExperience building pipelines for high-caliber profiles — think Jane Street traders, founders, or GTM leadersIntense work ethic, high agency, and genuine comfort operating in ambiguity at a fast-moving startupStrong communication skills — able to hold your own in conversation with founders, traders, and GTM leadersWilling to be on-site 5 days/week in San FranciscoNice to have: experience hiring for finance, consulting, PE, or otherwise operationally rigorous business roles.Not the right fit if: you’re a pure agency recruiter with no in-house/corporate experience, or you’ve only worked in-house with no agency background — this role wants someone fluent in both worlds.Compensation & Logistics$150K–$225K + competitive equityOn-site, San Francisco, CA, 5 days/weekOpen to visa transfers (e.g., OPT, H1B)Benefits include medical/vision/dental, 401(k) with employer match, a daily meal stipend, monthly wellness stipend, and covered commuteInterested?
