Lead Software Engineer - Backend Fullstack

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools, including setting expectations for validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency controls; experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant use
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, multithreading, functional programming, distributed applications, and client-server architecture
• At least 8 years of Java development experience
• Experience with Core Java and Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Flux, and Spring Security
• Web UI development experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Relational database development skills, including SQL and data modeling
• Experience building performant, scalable, and reliable microservices, including high-availability development and architecture
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and building cloud-native applications on AWS, including Lambda, ECS, S3, Aurora, and API Gateway
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Preferred: At least 3 years of technical leadership experience
• Preferred: Experience with reactive programming, DevOps, Kafka, and RabbitMQ
• Preferred: Financial services experience and understanding of investment securities
• Preferred: Familiarity with Atlassian tracking, collaboration, and code quality tools

• Provide technical guidance and direction to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• Promote and govern approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish validation standards and encourage reuse of proven patterns and automation
• Use software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale
• Optimize back-end applications for speed, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with technical architects and designers on new products
• Follow and promote Agile practices, including Scrum, Lean, BDD, and continuous delivery
• Research emerging technologies, adopt best practices, and provide technical guidance across the organization
• Work with globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across regions
• Advise and collaborate with Wealth Managers and Product Specialists, incorporating their feedback
• Present and demonstrate solutions to users, stakeholders, and technology groups
