Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology Job Details: • 40 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment • Minimal on-call requirements from 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM Monday through Friday and 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM on weekends • Work with adults and geriatrics required; neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents preferred • Operate 4 general rooms, 1 SPECT/CT, and 2 PET/CT units • Hunter green scrub color required • Use Cerner charting system • Perform normal diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging including cardiac, bone scan, HIDA, renogram, liver/spleen, and infection imaging • Conduct SPECT/CT scans including infection imaging, MIBG, whole body I-123 and I-131 imaging, Y-90 imaging • Perform PET/CT scanning including FDG, Dotatate, PSMA • Administer therapies including I-131, Xofigo, Lutathera • Handle IV starts, phlebotomy, venous blood draws, and peripheral IV start and maintenance • Store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials safely • 1 year of experience required; first-timers accepted • Required certifications: ARRT N or NMTCB, ARRT R, BLS, New Mexico State License • PET license preferred; CT license assistance available if pending • No locals accepted within 100-mile radius • RQI certifications not accepted • New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks • 6-month break required after 4 consecutive assignments or reaching one-year mark Facility: This healthcare organization operates as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 554 staffed beds, providing comprehensive short-term acute care services.
