Manager, Engineering

AbbVie seeks a Manager of Engineering to lead the Project Engineering Department at its Cincinnati site. The role involves directing engineering staff, overseeing capital projects, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with quality and manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Direct Project Engineering Department staff and personnel development initiatives
- Drive engineering department strategy and deliver capital projects on budget
- Lead site capital project strategic planning and execution from definition through commissioning
- Implement business strategies and engineering controls to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience including individual contributor and supervisory roles
- Demonstrated project management skills with progressively increased responsibility
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship-building abilities
- Business acumen and leadership experience to drive high performance
- Knowledge of EHS, quality, and GMP manufacturing compliance
