About the role:

\n

We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to serve as the Global Architect Lead for Microgrid Solutions. Initially focused on data centers and energy infrastructure, this role will expand to cover Delta’s microgrid offerings across all market segments.

\n

Although based in the U.S., this is a global role requiring close collaboration with teams in Europe and Asia. You will be responsible for articulating, defining, and executing the overall solution architecture for near- and mid-term microgrid offerings. This includes understanding utility grids, application spaces such as data centers and manufacturing sites, software and control stacks, and the integration of renewables with conventional energy sources.

You will work closely with Delta’s domain-specific architects to assemble a comprehensive solution architecture built from modular building blocks—similar to assembling a Lego set—while engaging technically on immediate and mid-term needs.

\n

The ideal candidate combines strong interpersonal skills and strategic thinking with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts. This role requires a deep background in power systems and power electronics, complemented by knowledge of controls and software, along with experience designing and delivering customer-facing solution architectures that span multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and influence a cross-functional global team of domain-specific architects toward a unified end-to-end solution architecture.
\n
• Set clear goals, articulate expectations, and ensure alignment across global teams and organizational boundaries.
\n
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
\n
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, global leadership, and business development teams to achieve exceptional business outcomes.
\n
• Work closely with the Global Product Manager for Microgrid Solutions to define architectures that support the “solution-as-a-product” roadmap.
\n
• Develop architectures for different market segments and time horizons, clearly articulating differences and commonalities.
\n
• Define strategies that enable progressive development, leveraging existing work across time horizons.
\n
• Understand development timelines for building blocks and use this knowledge to create scalable, future-ready solutions.
\n
• Guide engineering teams on validation and execution of architectural concepts.
\n
• Define internal vs. external execution balance and lead strategic workshops with global stakeholders.
\n
• Apply experience and industry insights to evaluate engineering trade-offs and optimize solutions.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 15+ years of experience developing power-intensive architectures for energy applications, with at least 5 years in a global leadership role.
\n
• MS in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred).
\n
• Proven customer-facing experience delivering complex, multi-domain solutions.
\n
• Strong understanding of power systems and power electronics, with working knowledge of software stacks and controls.
\n
• Experience managing large cross-functional and global teams.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to solve customer problems, manage time horizons, and drive strategic outcomes.
\n
• Knowledge of sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, paired with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a disciplined approach to problem-solving.
\n
• Proven self-starter with the initiative to take ownership of complex challenges, rapidly assimilate new concepts, and apply insights to drive sound decision-making and measurable outcomes.
