For more information, click here.Role reports to:Sr. Manager Flavors & FragrancesLocation:North America, United States, New Jersey, SummitWork Location:HybridWhat you will doThe Fragrance & Flavor Evaluator guides the development process, serving as liaison between Marketing, R&D, and outside F&F suppliers. Upon initial charter, this role will work with Product Development to determine the appropriate fragrance profile and confirm technical, regulatory/ safety, and pricing parameters. FFE will determine whether any existing portfolio fragrance/ flavor is appropriate or if new creation by FF House(s) needs to be solicited. This position will oversee/ coordinate all aspects of the fragrance/ flavor development process, ensuring compliance with requested olfactive/ flavor profile, appropriate regulatory guidelines, timelines, compatibility with intended application/ base, pricing/ sourcing parameters, and liase with formulation chemists regarding stability protocols.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with Global Fragrance & Flavor Leader (GFFL) to ensure resource allocation is consistent with overall business objectives- Manages projects throughout the fragrance/ flavor development cycle for all assigned brands/ regions/ applications.Works with outside F&F suppliers to develop F/F specific to project requirements and parameters (as required)Works with outside F&F partners to develop appropriate proactive collections for assigned brands/ regions/ applicationsCollaborate with Marketing/ Product Development to further develop relevant trend-forward fragrance and market knowledgePerform thorough olfactive/ taste evaluations for assigned projects, both neat and in useParticipate in and support in-house sensory panel testsMaintain in-depth knowledge of market products/ trends, relevant brands (internal and competitive)Compile olfactive mappings of market/ product lines for internal use/ demonstrationExchange in both creative and technical dialogues with Product Development/ Marketing & R&D as well as navigate/ mediate occasional differing priorities between the two regarding fragrance/ flavor developmentPresent Fragrance Trainings and occasional presentations internally and assist in development and update of training curriculumEvaluate stability/ compatibility samples as necessaryIncorporate relevant/ novel technology into the F/F development process when appropriateAbility to advise, interpret and utilize consumer insights in order to drive iterative fragrance developmentWhat We Are Looking For Required Qualifications:Ability to identify and speak succinctly about F/F elements10+ years’ experience in a F/F Development roleAcute sense of smell & taste with the ability to discern and communicate very specific olfactive/ organoleptic notes, ideally with formal olfactive/ taste trainingProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & OutlookVast, up-to-date awareness of scented products across relevant market segmentsExcellent organizational and communication skills – both written and oralAbility to balance/ adapt to frequently shifting prioritiesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple functionsAbility to travel when needed (less than 10%)What’s in it for youAnnual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$110,500.00 - $156,000.00This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.Competitive Benefit Package*Paid Company Holidays, Paid Vacation, Volunteer Time & More!Learning & Development OpportunitiesKenvuer Impact NetworksThis list could vary based on location/region*Note: Total Rewards at Kenvue include salary, bonus (if applicable) and benefits.
