Stanley Access Technologies seeks a self-motivated, results-driven team player to fill the Buyer position at our Mt. Comfort Facility in Greenfield, IN. The Material Buyer is an active team member in planning and scheduling the delivery of material from suppliers. This tactical position is responsible for monitoring the flows of buy items, guaranteeing availability of components to avoid material shortages and production downtime, as well as managing inventory levels to meet our customer service and inventory targets.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do:

• Receive and analyze requisitions todeterminequantity, specifications, and delivery requirements.

• Fromapprovedsupplier list, recommend and select suppliers to fulfill scheduled plant deliveries.

• Ensure up-to-date ABC classification ismaintainedfor planning, and other key inputs into the PFEP process.

• Conduct vendor onboarding activities,trainingand periodic site visits/audits to implement the process and drive continuous improvement.

• Ensureoptimalinventory levels and safety stock aremaintainedfor their parts.

• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues with suppliers.

• Maintain proactive shortage identification and management - help flag root causes & corrective actions.

• Analyze and select parts for SOMI/consigned inventory - Supplier replenishment.

• Expedite deliveries to meet and exceed scheduled critical requirements.

• Maintain material plan at thetimefence to ensure continuity of supply.

• Coordinate with production planners for solutions when parts cannot be delivered as promised.

• Maintain and continuously evaluate supplier performance and escalate when issues occur.

• Resolve invoicing discrepancies with suppliers and accounting.

• Analyze material and capacity availability to provide customer promise dates for sales orders.

• Maintainsitem master lead time information based upon process improvements, current constraints, total current demand by product family, and priority information.

• Manage internal and SOMI/VMI material and parameters to meet schedules.

• Interface with required functional groups to resolve challenging delivery requirements.

• Communicate forecasts and replenishment plans tosupplier.

• Review open requirements,monitoringvendorperformanceand expediting where necessary. Ensure that problems relating to delivery,qualityor pricing are promptly conveyed to the supplier and resolvedin a timely manner.

• Maintain product knowledge in terms of options, substitutions, critical functions/components, etc.

• Understand material specifications in terms of alternate supply options for critical shortages such as substitutions or deviating material.

• Maintain basic knowledge of supplier processes and capabilities.

• Understanding ofKanban and JIT systems.

• Mustpossessa strong customer service orientation and must provide dedicated supportofinternal and external customer requirements.

• Must be a strong written and verbal communicator, able to communicatetovarious audiences effectively.

• Teamoriented,must have the ability to work cohesively with others.

• Must be able to work well with external suppliers.

• Mustpossessabilityto work well in a manufacturing environment.

• Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred

• 2 yearsminimumplanner/buyer manufacturing experience.

• Certification in production and inventory managementpreferred

• Considerable knowledge of industry related supply base.

• Skilled in production and supplier scheduling.

• Knowledgeableofsupplier processes and capabilities.

• Able to provide directions and training to peers as needed.

• Computer proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications.

• Basic mathematical skills.

• Experience in operations, inventory management,MRPand lean manufacturing processes.

• Experience with visual management systems.
