Many Hopes Location: New York City; exceptional remote candidates with regular NYC travel considered Reports to: CEO/Founder Why This Role Matters: You will help build the fundraising engine that allows Many Hopes to grow from $5M to $10M and deepen our long-term impact around the world. About Many Hopes: Many Hopes rescues children from abuse and equips them to stop it. We believe that someone who has experienced injustice can be one of the most powerful people to defeat the causes of what they survived. So we help them do that. We are a global network of locally led organizations committed to survivor-driven change. Since 2021 we have grown from $1M to $5M in annual revenue through: 7,000+ monthly donors acquired through online storytelling (acquiring ~500 per month 2024 - 2026) A growing base of mid-tier and major donors through highly relational founder-led fundraising We have a three-year Strategic Plan plotting growth from $5M-$10M so seek a leader to build the development team and system to take us there. Partner Closely with the CEO/Founder and Board Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO/Founder and Board in advancing philanthropic vision, donor strategy, and organizational growth. Equip and support the CEO/Founder and Board in their fundraising roles through planning, communication, and donor engagement strategies 2. Lead and then Grow the Fundraising Team Create and implement an annual Development plan and systems for donor pipelines, segmentation, moves management, forecasting Manage and coach 2–3 emerging Major Gift Officers, a digital acquisition specialist, and a data/CRM manager and analyst Identify, recruit, and hire emerging team members as Many Hopes scales Build a culture of accountability and growth 3. Strengthen and Scale Major Gifts Build a structured and relational major gifts program Increase major gifts revenue from ~$2M to $4M+ over three years Develop clear portfolio strategies and donor plans 4. Maintain a Personal Fundraising Portfolio Manage approximately $1M in relationships within 2–3 years Build and steward a personal portfolio of approximately 40–75 major donors and prospects, with a focus on both stewardship and new prospect development. Experience: 7–12+ years nonprofit fundraising You have been part of a small or start-up non-profit growing into a medium/large structured development environment (budget $10M+) Experience managing a portfolio of major donor relationships, including five- and six-figure gifts. Demonstrated success in: major gifts fundraising upgrading donors to higher levels of giving leading campaigns with a development team of 3-5 Building or improving systems What Success Looks Like (3 Years) Annual Revenue grows from $5M to $10M Major Gifts Annual Revenue grow from $2M to $4M+ Clear, effective fundraising systems are in place 2-3 Emerging fundraising professionals are performing measurably well and a strategic framework and benchmarks necessary to add more team members exists Donor pathways digital, mid-tier and major are functioning We are leveraging AI more than most non-profits CEO is focused on highest-value relationships Compensation Strong benefits package $120-160k depending on experience Major Holidays (10) and Unlimited PTO 25-35% domestic and international travel #J-18808-Ljbffr
