Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support the accounting and operations of a growing real estate investment and property management company. The ideal candidate has experience with residential property management accounting, is comfortable using AppFolio, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and following established procedures. We will also consider recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting who are eager to learn and build a career in real estate accounting and property management. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support the accounting and operations of a growing real estate investment and property management company. The ideal candidate has experience with residential property management accounting, is comfortable using AppFolio, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and following established procedures. We will also consider recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting who are eager to learn and build a career in real estate accounting and property management. ResponsibilitiesAccounting Process accounts payable and vendor invoices. Prepare and issue owner distributions. Record bank deposits and tenant payments. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Review rent collections and delinquency reports. Assist with month-end and year-end closing. Maintain organized digital accounting records. Assist CPA with tax and financial reporting requests. Property Management Process maintenance work orders through AppFolio. Coordinate vendors and monitor job completion. Prepare and send notices to tenants through AppFolio. Schedule inspections and follow up on repairs. Track insurance certificates and vendor documentation. Assist with leasing paperwork and tenant files. Maintain accurate property records and documentation. Administrative Answer emails and phone calls professionally. Organize electronic files and company records. Track tasks and follow up until completed. Prepare spreadsheets and reports as requested. Assist management with special projects. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Recent Accounting graduates are encouraged to apply. 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or property management experience preferred. Experience with AppFolio is strongly preferred but not required. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
