We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT Service Desk Technician to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations across the organization.
You will provide hands-on support for hardware, software, user account management, and laptop deployments, while also contributing to automation through basic scripting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent IT Support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and in-person
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts across multiple systems (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, etc.)
- Setup various social media accounts
- Set up, configure, and deploy new work laptops and desktops for employees
- Perform laptop imaging, software installations, and hardware upgrades
- Execute basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash) to automate repetitive tasks
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes from an IT perspective
- Document support tickets, solutions, and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and escalations
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or above or equivalent experience in an IT Service Desk or Help Desk environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and current Mac operating systems
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience with laptop hardware setup, and troubleshooting
- Willingness to learn basic scripting (PowerShell and Bash)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
