Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for various age groups-pediatric, adult, and geriatric-using both standardized measures and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans to meet the immediate and long-term speech, cognitive, and swallowing goals of your patients.
• Provide engaging, one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, caregivers, and family members to ensure cohesive care strategies are in place.
• Offer educational resources to patients and their families to sustain progress outside the clinical setting.
• Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, maintaining an individual's journey towards recovery.
• Keep detailed and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organization standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth through continuing education and collaborative discussions with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
