Job Description
This is a remote position. Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day general ledger operations, monthly closes, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 3+ years of experience, advanced Excel skills, and a strong grasp of GAAP to support financial reporting and upcoming system transitions. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable, receivables, and expense reports, maintaining general ledger entries, accruals, and prepaids, handling revenue schedules and invoice classifications, executing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and close tasks, performing variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting support, and assisting with annual external audits and ad-hoc reports. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 3+ years of professional accounting experience, advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS), solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices, excellent organization and communication skills, CPA certification a plus, experience with mid-market ERP systems or popular cloud accounting tools, and familiarity with CRM or automated billing platforms.
