Description

1st shift, Monday-Friday 6am-2pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Checking work order, properly select processed material checking for weight, alloy, size and quality.
• Proper set-up and operation of an edging machine.
• In process inspect of material to ensure proper quality is maintained.
• Identify the correct edging tools to utilize.
• Run material according to specifications of work order.
• Check material to ensure customer quality requirements are met.
• Properly identify all edged material and complete all documentation.
• May require the repair of minor mechanical problems.
• Group completed coils together by work order in designated area.
• Maintain work area in a clean and neat fashion.
• Math aptitude/setup calculations testing
• Troubleshoot any issues and concerns.
• Follow ALL safety protocols for the company

Required Education and Experience:

• Education and/or experience High School degree or equivalent preferred. Prior experience or training in a related field or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Math Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals. Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required, and knowledge of the metric system is a plus.
• Understanding and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers, digital calipers, tape measure is preferred.
