Role Description The Assistant Golf Professional is a full-time, on-site role based at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI. This role supports the daily operations of the golf shop and practice facilities, including greeting guests, managing tee times, assisting with merchandise sales, and maintaining an organized, professional environment. The Assistant Golf Professional provides individual and group golf instruction, supports golf outings and tournaments, and ensures that guests understand course policies, pace of play, and safety guidelines. Daily responsibilities include monitoring the condition and availability of golf equipment, coordinating with outside services staff, and delivering responsive, courteous service to all players. The role collaborates with the Head Golf Professional and broader resort team to promote the golf program, drive participation, and create an exceptional golf experience for guests and members. Qualifications Ability to provide high-quality Golf Instruction, including fundamentals, rules, and etiquette, to players of varying skill levels. Experience or training in Golf Management, such as golf shop operations, tee sheet management, tournament coordination, and basic merchandising. Solid knowledge of Golf, including course operations, scoring formats, pace-of-play standards, and USGA rules. Familiarity with Golf Equipment, including fitting, maintenance, and appropriate product recommendations for different skill levels. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, resolve issues, and create a welcoming environment for guests and members. Interest in or progress toward PGA or similar professional membership is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to perform outdoor duties in varying weather conditions. Previous experience in a golf or resort environment and basic computer/POS skills are beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
