Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date: 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,451–$2,491 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). Facility type: Hospital setting. Employment type: Travel – Temporary Assignment. This role requires travel nursing experience and ED expertise in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ED patients, including triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and rapid response to emergencies.
- Administer medications, initiate IVs, draw labs, manage pain and symptom relief per physician orders.
- Monitor patient status with applicable technologies, interpret results, and escalate concerns to the treating team.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other ED staff; may assume charge nurse duties as needed.
- Document care and interventions in the MEDITECH electronic health record with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure patient safety, assist with patient transfers and lift safety, and address environmental and safety concerns.

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
- MEDITECH experience required.
- Travel nursing experience required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment; strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Must be able to identify life-threatening conditions and intervene appropriately.
- IV, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation.
- Defibrillation certification within six months of employment; lethal dysrhythmia examination completed during probation.
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse and to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
