VOCATIONAL INSTRUCTOR (ELECTRICAL WORK) (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

Job Title Vocational Instructor (Electrical Works) – California Men's Colony, San Luis Obispo County. Salary $6,387.52 – $12,847.82 per month. Responsibilities Serve under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Correctional Education Programs/Principal and the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Academic Instruction/Assistant Principal. Implement the California Department of Corrections (CDCR) learning goals and objectives. Deliver the approved Electrical Works curriculum in accordance with CDCR Office of Correctional Education policies and regulations. Prepare instructional and assessment materials aligned with CDCR policies, the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and partner organizations that provide trade certifications for CDCR students. Maintain and update instructional materials to meet CDCR and partner organization requirements. Qualifications Must meet the Minimum Qualifications listed in the Classification Specification. Relevant experience or education in electrical work instruction or vocational training in an educational setting. Valid teaching credential or equivalent certification is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Benefits & Eligibility Permanent, full‑time position. Work shift: 07:30 – 15:30, Monday through Friday. Work location: San Luis Obispo, CA.
