TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Greensboro, North Carolina, 27401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred. Must-Have: - EPIC experience required. - Previous charge nurse and Level 2 trauma experience preferred. Description: The position requires a commitment to a 3x12-hour night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. There are two weekend shifts or four weekend days required every six weeks. Holidays may be required as needed, with no on-call duty. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Candidates must hold current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications are preferred. Familiarity with the EPIC charting system is required. Experience in charge nurse roles and Level 2 Trauma Centers is preferred. Skills required include: - Arterial line management - BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood product administration - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Continuous IV sedation - Management of cerebrovascular accidents - Interpretation of arterial blood gases - Dysrhythmia interpretation - Isolation precautions and PPE - Administration of IV vasopressors - Knowledge of trauma care for various injuries - Starting and maintaining IVs - Triage and patient management The unit provides care for adult patients and sees an average of 180 visits per day. There are 63 beds available in the unit. Interdisciplinary support is available, including teams for IVs, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. The unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses, including stroke, cardiac conditions, and trauma cases. Special equipment and trained staff are available around the clock to assist with critical care needs.
