A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced pricing professional to help shape the financial strategy behind sophisticated client engagements. This is a highly visible role for someone who can translate data into practical commercial guidance, partner confidently with attorneys and business leaders, and strengthen the tools and processes that support profitable growth.

The manager will lead and develop members of the pricing team while serving as a trusted resource across Finance, Marketing, Business Intelligence, and firm leadership. The right person combines strong financial judgment with the communication skills to influence decisions in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.

What You Will Own

Build financial models that evaluate proposed fee structures, profitability, and the economic impact of client pricing decisions.

Design thoughtful pricing approaches for proposals, competitive pitches, and client-specific requests in partnership with attorneys and marketing leaders.

Use historical client and matter data to deliver clearer insights to practice leaders and executive management.

Provide ongoing financial and matter-management support for strategically important client relationships, including interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Improve the firm's approach to engagement scoping, budgeting, monitoring, and performance reporting.

Guide the annual review and administration of standard billing rates across the firm's timekeeper population.

Monitor complex and alternative fee arrangements and communicate performance trends to lawyers and leadership.

Help evaluate, implement, and refine internal and client-facing pricing technology.

Stay current on evolving commercial practices, pricing methodologies, and engagement-management tools within the legal industry.

Set priorities for the team, review work, coach employees, and reinforce consistently high service standards.

What You Bring

A bachelor's degree, ideally in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline.

At least eight years of experience involving accounting, financial analysis, pricing, or a comparable commercial finance function.

Two or more years of people-management experience, including a track record of developing and mentoring staff.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities; familiarity with SharePoint, 3E, NetDocuments, SQL, or data-visualization platforms is helpful.

Strong project-management skills and the ability to move several deadline-driven priorities forward at the same time.

Sound judgment, careful attention to detail, and the discretion required to work with confidential information.

A polished, collaborative communication style and the confidence to work effectively with professionals across functions and levels.

Preferred Background

Experience in legal pricing-particularly within a large law firm-would be especially valuable, though the broader priority is a strong blend of financial analysis, commercial thinking, leadership, and client service.
