Payroll Specialist
LHH Recruitment is partnering with a company in Scottsdale who is looking to add a payroll administrator to their team. This role is Monday-Friday, fully onsite for the first 90 days at last. The hourly rate is between $28/hr-$32/hr.
This role will support high-volume, multi-state payroll operations and requires someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, and advanced in Excel.
Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule
- Review payroll data for accuracy, compliance, and discrepancies
- Maintain payroll records and employee information
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and management
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze and manage payroll data
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll regulations
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent multi-state payroll experience
- Strong Excel skills required, including:
- VLOOKUPs
- SUMIFs
- Data reconciliation and reporting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping software preferred
