Position Summary:

The Technical Support Representative provides technical support services to troubleshoot issues related to computers, monitors, network connections, telephones, ticket scanners, and other mobile devices for event staff and other users before and during events.

Essential Functions:

Provide general technical assistance to front-of-house event staff and other users at events.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:

• Box office and point of sale computers and printers
• Ticket scanners
• Digital signage
• Wireless networks
• Two-way radios

Deploy and maintain Windows workstations, including software and hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Assist users with Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise software.

Troubleshoot issues with multi-function (scan/copy/print) devices, printers, and phones.

Confirm proper functioning and availability of technical equipment and report on malfunctioning equipment.

Maintain and update documentation on proper procedures for use and maintenance of technical equipment

Assist other IT staff with tasks and projects as needed (Zoom setup, Teams).

Requirements

• GED or equivalent and training and/or hands-on experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position. Demonstrated general hardware and software troubleshooting knowledge, Windows workstations and/or iOS or Android devices.

• Experience with helpdesk software or workflow processes.

• Strong customer service mindset with ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues while onsite with guests.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot issues, present ideas, and solutions in a clear manner.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

The typical workdays and hours for this position are dependent on the event schedules but typically will be 4-10pm and some weekend morning/afternoons.
