Work Environment

This position is located on-site at our modern rehabilitation facility in Oakland, California. Our work environment emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and patient-centric care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including orthopedic specialists and other healthcare professionals, creating a vibrant workplace focused on improving patient outcomes. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' goals and functional needs, developing personalized treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient caseload, providing one-on-one care with a focus on evidence-based techniques and interventions.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training targeted at enhancing mobility and strength.
• Motivate and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey, encouraging adherence to treatment plans and fostering a positive outlook on recovery.
• Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare providers to create cohesive care strategies that address the unique needs of each patient.
• Document all treatments and patient progress using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the therapy provided, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary based on ongoing assessments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily focuses on orthopedic outpatient care, catering to a diverse patient population recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. We prioritize individualized treatment strategies that respect each patient's unique experiences and goals, working towards optimal recovery outcomes through engagement and support.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is essential.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California, with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a proven track record in orthopedic outpatient care are required.
• Experience with EMR software such as WebPT and other patient management systems is highly beneficial.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of three years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required, those with extensive backgrounds in orthopedic outpatient therapy, familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques, and additional certifications in specializations such as sports rehab or geriatrics will be prioritized.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
