About the Department

Cardiac Progressive Care Unit

The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit is a 21-bed step-down unit  specializing in the care of cardiology and thoracic patients following  procedural or surgical interventions, as well as acute episodes related to their condition . The unit provides a higher level of monitoring and care, including management of  multiple titratable drips and inotropes, chest tubes, pain pumps, BiPAP, and various other devices and medications .

Our team supports patients as they begin their rehabilitation journey while helping them learn to manage their chronic conditions through  comprehensive education and individualized care .

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Henry Ford Health, you will provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. You'll utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while effectively communicating with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Your role is critical in ensuring patient goals are met and solutions are implemented when variances occur.

What You Will Do

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and rotating holidays

SIGN ON BONUS: $7500.00

LOCATION:  Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital

Qualifications

What You Will Need

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. 

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
