The elegant older sister to Glory Days, Gloria is an all-day neighborhood restaurant built around beautiful produce, thoughtful hospitality and effortless service. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. No reservations. No pretension. Just a restaurant people return to several times a week.
We're looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen.
This is not a role for someone chasing ego or fine dining accolades. We're looking for a calm, highly organized leader who takes genuine pride in building teams, creating systems and delivering exceptional food with absolute consistency.
Our kitchen is compact. Our volume will be high. Success will come from preparation, communication, efficiency and leadership, not complexity.
Your roleYou'll be responsible for building and leading a kitchen that operates with confidence every day.
That means:
- Recruiting, mentoring and developing a strong team.
- Creating a culture built on accountability, professionalism and respect.
- Establishing systems that deliver speed without sacrificing quality.
- Can coach, motivate and hold a team accountable.
- Is deeply organized and detail-oriented.
- Values systems over shortcuts.
- Has strong financial awareness around food cost, waste and labor.
- Wants to help build something that will become a neighborhood institution.
Seasonal, produce-driven cooking influenced by Coastal California, the Mediterranean and Australia.
Simple food, executed exceptionally well.
Gloria is designed to become part of people's weekly routine, a place where breakfast turns into lunch, lunch into wine, and dinner into one more bottle.
We're looking for a chef who wants to build that with us from day one.
