Work Environment This role offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, allowing you to effectively support clients while managing a healthy work-life balance. While you will primarily work from home, you may occasionally engage in necessary home visits or client assessments in line with our holistic service approach. You will leverage technology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems to manage workloads efficiently and coordinate care seamlessly. Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Prairie Behavioral Health, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including: Conducting thorough assessments and developing personalized treatment plans that are responsive to the evolving needs of your patients. Maintaining consistent communication with supervisors, family members, and other caregivers about client progress and treatment modifications. Facilitating home visits and observations to gather comprehensive information and ensure effective monitoring of client progress. Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss care strategies and share insights that enhance patient outcomes. Documenting treatment progress through detailed monthly and quarterly notes, enabling transparent and effective follow-ups. Training and mentoring junior staff members to ensure high-quality care and adherence to best practices in clinical documentation. Serving as a community liaison to support mental health initiatives and foster collaborative relationships within the healthcare ecosystem. Patient Population / Client Focus You will serve a diverse client population, ranging from children to older adults, providing trauma-informed care that addresses a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Your role is vital in creating an inclusive environment that honors the unique experiences and backgrounds of each patient. Qualifications To qualify for this role, candidates must possess: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field. An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Arizona. A minimum of two years of experience in counseling, with a preference for candidates who have worked in clinical settings. Strong foundational knowledge of ethical practices and legal standards in mental health care. Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with a diverse clientele. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant technologies. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma care, or substance use disorders will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits The salary for the Licensed Professional Counselor position ranges between $90,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload management.
