Sales Engineer - Gov’t SLED

Responsibilities Own development and execution of technology strategy. Design solutions that meet customer needs and beat competition. Develop strong relationships with sales team, internal engineering, and key technical customer contacts and leverage them to Zebra's advantage. Create and deliver high‑impact solution presentations. Use moderate domain and solutions knowledge. Leverage a solid understanding of all Zebra products and services. Apply solution‑selling concepts to customer situations. Employ excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Understand and share ideas for improvement on policies and practices related to the role. Explain how Zebra solutions can help customer’s business results and obtain profitable revenue growth via value proposition versus competition. Use full knowledge of customer’s business and market economics/tendencies to position effectively versus competition. Solve routine problems of moderate complexity, such as verifying technical compatibility, at the customer level. Take independent judgment within broad policies to select approaches and techniques. Act independently or as a team lead for ad‑hoc teams. Interface with buyers/decision makers for small and mid‑sized deals and end users. Influence customers to purchase moderate‑size projects. Be responsible for revenue attainment, margins where appropriate, and personal expenses. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of relevant work experience in the Government/Public Sector space. Knowledge of the Government/Public Sector space. Expected travel: 50%. Ideally located in the Northeast U.S. area. Preferred: Familiarity with government contracting, procurement processes, and security/compliance standards (e.g., FIPS, TAA). Experience in Selling in the Government/Public Sector space. Sales engineering experience. Knowledge of Zebra Android portfolio. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Advanced domain/solutions knowledge to create competitive advantage. Ability to develop and adapt advanced sales strategies to unique customer needs and create customer partnerships. Leadership skills to lead others in their development and provide input to policies and practices. Benefits Pay Range: $78,560.00 – $117,840.00 annually. Annual incentive compensation: commission at 25% of quota in accordance with the applicable sales incentive plan.
