Customer Service Representative

Our client is a healthcare company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, providing specialized diagnostic and clinical services to a range of organizational clients.

This is a hands-on customer support role within a small, collaborative team. You'll be the frontline contact for clients managing orders, answering questions, and resolving issues while helping maintain accurate records and strong data practices across the department's core systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client calls and emails in a timely, professional manner
• Enter and manage customer orders accurately
• Look up and communicate results to clients as needed
• Maintain and update customer profiles and account information
• Onboard new clients into internal systems, including the company's LIMS (laboratory information management system)
• Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the team lead when appropriate
• Maintain HIPAA compliance across all customer interactions and data handling
• Identify opportunities to promote additional services to existing customers
• Support consistent data quality practices across systems used by the team

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare or regulated industry
• Comfortable learning and working within order management or CRM/LIMS-type systems
• Experience handling sensitive or confidential data in a regulated environment
• Strong communication skills clear, professional, and client-focused
• Detail-oriented with solid data entry accuracy
• Local to Kalamazoo or willing to relocate (fully on-site role)
• Bonus: experience with Salesforce
