Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions to clients seeking to modify their relationships with alcohol, ensuring they feel safe and supported.

• Facilitate and lead optional support groups, creating an inclusive space for clients to share insights and experiences.
\n
• Collaborate with the Content Manager to develop "Expert Insights" articles that contribute to our online resources, enhancing client education and engagement.
\n
• Manage client referrals effectively, ensuring the seamless delivery of care and communication.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development by obtaining continuing education units (CEUs) annually, which are fully funded by the organization.
\n
• Participate in regular peer group meetings to share insights and strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Maintain strong clinical engagement skills to build trust and rapport with clients, demonstrating empathy and support throughout their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be individuals exploring healthier relationships with alcohol. You will work with a diverse clientele, some seeking moderation rather than abstinence. Our approach embraces a harm-reduction philosophy, emphasizing personalized care based on individual needs and goals. Your role will be crucial in guiding clients to navigate their recovery while complementing community support options like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Smart Recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC license in the state of New York.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.

• Proven training and experience in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.

• Strong understanding of community recovery support systems and the ability to integrate these into treatment.
