Health Care Employee Relations Officer

Job Title

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) seeks to fill Permanent/Full Time Supervisor I (Specialist) positions in the Performance Management Unit (PMU).

This position is located in Labor Relations, Performance Management, and Staff Development. Staff in this program are responsible for promoting harmonious labor relations between CCHCS, its employees, and employee organizations; providing management/supervisors with the tools and resources necessary to carry out the state's progressive disciplinary process; and delivering effective and innovative training to further employees' professional growth. Under the general direction of the Manager I, Performance Management Unit, the Supervisor I (Specialist) is responsible for providing statewide guidance and expertise to all levels of management in areas involving employee performance and administration of the department's disciplinary process impacting mental health, dental, and medical staff at the institutions and within CCHCS. This assignment has extensive travel, approximately 30%.
