PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER

Under direction of a Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I, duties include operating radio console, transmit and receive radio traffic, document information in CAD or on CAD cards, dispatch appropriate personnel and resources, answer both emergency and non-emergency calls from officers, public, media, and allied agencies, use of computer equipment - access information, enter and update various databases, monitor and utilize communications-related equipment, maintain related logs and files, use maps and manuals to access information, sitting/standing for prolonged periods of time.
