Account Manager-SMB Sales

Overview This technology sales role focuses on delivering innovative solutions that help businesses connect, evolve, and thrive. The position involves prospecting new opportunities, managing existing accounts, and driving sales for integrated software products. Responsibilities Deliver outstanding business solutions and recommend tailored technology services to clients. Prospect new business, consult customers, identify challenges, and recommend solutions. Develop and qualify leads within the assigned territory using cold‑calling, partner‑selling, lead‑generation campaigns, and modern social selling techniques. Aquire new business and incremental revenue to meet sales targets. Retain, manage, and grow the existing customer base. Educate customers on innovative solutions and build relationships with key decision makers. Present and create multi‑product solution opportunities. Understand and sell integrated software solutions—including Cloud, Security, ISP, VoIP, and Google platforms. Track and report progress using sales‑force automation tools. Drive sales, increase service revenue, and manage relationships for accounts in the 1–19 employee segment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and three or more years of relevant work experience. Self‑motivated with strong communication skills to explain complex technology in simple terms. Comfortable with cold‑calling and discovering client needs. Demonstrated integrity and a collaborative team‑oriented mindset. Willingness to travel up to approximately 50% of the time. Valid driver’s license. Preferred: 2+ years of B2B/outside sales experience and tech sales experience (SaaS, CRM, Salesforce, social media). Related certifications or college courses are advantageous. Strong presentation skills in face‑to‑face and virtual environments. Experience building and maintaining relationships with all levels of client organizations. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment; manage time and prioritize tasks. Ability to implement feedback and tailor the approach for success. Travel & Work Environment This mobile role is primarily based at customer or field locations, with occasional visits to Verizon locations for training and meetings. Travel up to 50% of the time is expected. Compensation may include premium pay such as overtime, shift differential, holiday pay, and allowances.
