Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, equipment, and utensils in the galley, following established cleaning procedures onboard the cruise ship
• Assist with food preparation and plating when needed
• Properly store and rotate food supplies to ensure freshness and prevent waste
• Assist with loading and unloading of food and supplies
• Dispose of waste and garbage in accordance with company policies and regulations
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
