Area Operations Manager

How You'll Make an ImpactAs an Area Operations Manager in our New Jersey and New England/Metro communities, you'll be a dynamic, experienced, and strategic leader on an innovative and rapidly growing team. You're a high integrity leader with a demonstrated history of delivering results. You'll understand the healthcare industry and recent trends and is responsible for executing regional and market level business plans to take the organization into the future. Working in a “late-stage start-up” environment, you'll design and implement key processes in both the clinical and business areas and help lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of key operating initiatives to enhance all parts of the overall operating plan. Direct reports include Market Managers and Lead Medicial Technicians in assigned area.What You'll DoHold primary operational accountability one DispatchHealth market and additional accountability for up to three additional markets across all lines of business.Engender clarity, consistency, and execution - bring a collaborative, inspiring, and engaging leadership style that drives clarity and consistency of execution within the markets in the region Align with internal stakeholders - leverage strong business acumen to collaborate with a variety of internal partners to drive operation of the business, and achieve clinical, operational, and financial goals, including but not limited to Clinical Services, FP&A, Talent Acquisition, Scheduling, Fleet, Supply Chain, Marketing/Communications, and Business Development/Growth Recruit, hire, and manage Dispatch Health Market Managers and Lead DHMTs. Be present in each market within assigned area monthly to quarterly, with exposure during start of shift, end of shift, and weekend hours also Community engagement - engage in the community and establish partnerships that promote the mission of DispatchHealth. Market awareness - help the organization anticipate and respond effectively to evolving market and environmental trends Strategic responsibility - creating value for our patients, partners, and providers; prioritizing the soul and engine of our organization – the care providers; creating world-class customer experiences through the delivery of care in the home; collaborating with our clinical leadership to achieve outcomes second to none; driving alignment with our Channel Partners (Payers, Health Systems, Senior Health, Home Health, etc.) Work occasional shifts alongside clinical providers Manage key performance indicators for the area in collaboration with the Regional Operations Director(s) and/or Market Manager(s) Ensure effective management of capacity vs. demand across lines of business present in the area. Embrace and cultivate a mentality of “One Dispatch” across all lines of business operating within the areaWhat You NeedCompetencies, Skills, and AbilitiesInterpersonal Skills: cultivate strong relationships, exhibit an executive disposition, value stakeholders, build consensus and manage change Business/Management: develop team talent, drive execution, financial acumen, drive execution and achievement of results Leadership: empowerment/delegation, lead change, sell the vision, and have a passion for results and continuous improvement Maintain working knowledge of local market environments Track record of P&L ownership, financial acumen, and strong financial performance. Possess key leadership attributes including team building and management experience - mentoring, coaching, driving consensus and performance Prior exposure to driving clinical excellence and working directly with clinicians, client/partner development, sales, and regulatory and compliance functions. Lead with integrity and transparency while building strong and trusted professional relationships with all internal and external business partners. QualificationsA master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, a clinical discipline, or a related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, economics, or accounting preferred. 5+ years of experience in a healthcare or related business field with demonstrated ability to lead teams and make her/his organization more operationally efficient and effective. Candidates should have several years of experience aligning teams with organizational objectives.
