Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, duration, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, using standardized assessment tools.

• Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, needs, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, coping strategies, and self-care practices to empower their recovery journey.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
\n
• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and other health professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Stay informed on current research and advancements related to mood disorders to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in adherence to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and reduce stigma associated with mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression and anxiety, as well as other issues such as PTSD and relational conflicts. Your expertise will guide clients from various walks of life—including marginalized groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence—towards healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
