Associate Chemist - PFAS Analysis - 2nd Shift, Sun-Thurs
$18 - $19 per hourEurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Associate Chemist position focused on PFAS analysis and LC/MS testing at an environmental laboratory. The role involves sample preparation, chemical analysis, instrument operation, and data reporting under established quality assurance protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare environmental samples using standard chemical techniques and protocols
- Perform chemical analysis using LC/MS and related instrumentation; evaluate and quantify analytical data
- Record test results, document quality issues, and report unusual occurrences to supervisors
- Maintain instruments, manage training documentation, and complete scheduled QC samples
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, inventory glassware and supplies, and assist across departments as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, OR Associate degree, OR 2 years laboratory experience
- Professional English proficiency: read, write, and speak fluently
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Prior experience with PFAS analysis and/or LC/MS instrumentation preferred
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently following written or verbal instructions
Compensation: $18-19/hour plus 10% shift differential
