Job Title: RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of hospital Telemetry experience License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 1-year hospital Telemetry experience. BLS & ACLS certification. Description: This is a travel RN position in the Telemetry unit. The unit has 37 beds and operates with a multidisciplinary team. During the day shift, there are 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians, and 1 Unit Clerk. There are 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Technicians on the night shift. Patient ratios on the unit are typically 1:6, with 1:4 for Heart Cath patients. The unit utilizes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include central lines, medication drips, heart catheter recovery, and bubble studies. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be engaged, and possess strong critical thinking skills. A positive patient care experience is important for this role.
