What You'll Do:
The Language Access Programs Specialist oversees and supports the effective delivery of Language Access Programs across multiple sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality services and educational opportunities. The position supports program development, student recruitment and enrollment, community partnerships, and program expansion while promoting best practices and continuous improvement. The Specialist collaborates closely with the ESL Program Director and ESL Distance Learning Specialist to coordinate program activities, strengthen community relationships, and advance educational, professional, and personal development opportunities for clients.

 

• Oversee and coordinate Language Access Programs across multiple sites to ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery and adherence to best practices.
• Support student recruitment, enrollment, registration, assessment, and ongoing student services.
• Manage program data, including data entry, tracking, analysis, reporting, and documentation for program evaluation and grant requirements.
• Develop, enhance, and facilitate instructional programming using evidence-based practices in adult learning and second-language acquisition.
• Support effective instructional practices across both in-person and online learning environments.
• Identify opportunities to expand, improve, and strengthen educational programs and services for clients and community stakeholders.
• Collaborate with ESL leadership, program staff, site facilitators, case managers, and other internal teams to coordinate services and ensure effective program communication.
• Work collaboratively with the ESL Success Coach, IRS/ESL Learning Specialist, Family Literacy Coordinator, and other program staff to promote integrated and comprehensive client services.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with universities, community organizations, churches, workforce development centers, and other stakeholders to expand educational opportunities.
• Support the development and implementation of strategies that promote multi-generational learning and expanded in-person programming.
• Maintain current knowledge of adult learning theories, second-language acquisition, and evidence-based instructional methodologies.
• Provide accurate and timely program data to support grant proposals, grant reporting, program evaluation, and funding initiatives.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative in matters related to student services and program operations.
• Maintain consistent communication with program staff and leadership regarding enrollment, assessments, student progress, program expansion, and other relevant program activities.
• Contribute to continuous program improvement and the organization's overall mission and goals.

What You'll Bring:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field from an accredited institution preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Classroom instruction and/or classroom management experience preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish highly preferred. Proficiency in Arabic, Haitian Creole, Burmese, or other languages is highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and sensitively with culturally diverse populations, including immigrant children, adults, and families with varying needs and backgrounds.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, respond productively to evolving circumstances, and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and develop creative solutions to challenges.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately safeguard client information and case records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Experience with CASAS eTests and WorkReadyU client databases preferred; willingness and ability to learn required systems and software.
• Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as program needs require.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between program sites as needed.

• Monday thru Friday
• 9am-5pm
