Registered Nurse (RN) School-Based Position

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a 5-year-old student in a school-based setting in Cheshire, Connecticut. This is a full-time opportunity for the 20262027 school year.

Position Details

• Location: Cheshire, CT
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 4, 2027
• Schedule: Full-time, 9:05 AM-3:35 PM
• Student: 5-year-old
• Position: 1:1 School Nurse

Student Medical Needs

• Student has a central line that requires monitoring during the school day but does not require line care
• Student has a jejunostomy that collects output into an ostomy bag
• Provide attentive monitoring and nursing support throughout the school day

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care and monitoring
• Monitor the student's central line and overall medical status
• Monitor and manage the jejunostomy/ostomy bag as needed
• Follow the student's individualized healthcare plan and physician orders
• Respond appropriately to changes in the student's medical condition
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation
• Collaborate with school staff, family, and the student's healthcare team
• Support the student's safe participation in the school environment

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut RN license required
• Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
• Experience with central lines, jejunostomies, or ostomy care is preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and observation skills
• Ability to provide compassionate and attentive 1:1 care

Compensation for this position ranges from $24.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
