Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Senior P&O Business Partner, Air & Sea US Time Type: Full Time Summary At DSV Air & Sea, the Senior P&O (HR) Business Partner serves as both a strategic and hands‑on partner to operations leadership, supporting a fast‑paced operational environment. This role manages the full employee life cycle – from onboarding to off‑boarding – to ensure a seamless and positive employment experience. The Senior P&O Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor and resource to both employees and management, supporting employee relations, engagement, retention, talent and performance management, compliance, and talent acquisition. The position promotes a high‑performance culture and fosters a positive, respectful workplace while providing practical guidance to leaders and a visible, approachable resource for employees. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to off‑boarding, ensuring a seamless employment experience at each stage. Lead talent assessment and development initiatives, identify high‑potential employees, and work with managers on succession planning and career paths. Provide support and training to managers on best practices for managing and assessing performance, holding feedback discussions, and addressing performance issues constructively. Lead initiatives to foster a positive employee experience, improving engagement, retention, and overall workplace satisfaction. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and guiding managers on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee concerns. Support review, interpretation, administration, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures. Support recruiting and onboarding efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition for hourly operations, professional, and leadership roles. Participate in cross‑functional P&O projects, contributing expertise to enhance project outcomes. Coach managers on performance, development, conflict resolution, and team dynamics using P&O tools and resources. Design, implement, and administer employee programs and initiatives aligned with company goals, including Equal Employment Opportunity, affirmative action, compensation, recognition, and training. Act as a strategic advisor to align P&O programs with business goals, ensuring effective communication and maximum impact. Ensure accurate and timely entry, maintenance, and auditing of employee data in SAP SuccessFactors. Other duties and projects as assigned. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of demonstrated HR Partner experience required; 7+ years preferred. Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industries preferred. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices required. Proven experience handling complex employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action. Demonstrated experience supporting multi‑state operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, ADP). Strong management, problem‑solving, conflict resolution, consulting, decision‑making, financial and data analysis skills. Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning, ownership, and personal growth. Drives continuous improvement by identifying and implementing HR process enhancements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, able to motivate others. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, self‑motivated and creative. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality with sensitivity. Comfortable working with ambiguity, change, and shifting priorities. Physical Demands This position requires extended periods of sitting while working at a computer, reviewing reports, conducting virtual meetings, and maintaining employee data in HR systems. The role also involves regular standing, walking, and moving between conference rooms and office areas during meetings, employee discussions, and training sessions. Frequent communication via phone, video conferencing, and in‑person conversations is required. The employee must be able to travel periodically to other company office locations, which may include travel by automobile or commercial air travel, and may occasionally lift or carry materials up to approximately 15–20 pounds.
