Commercial Boiler Technician (HVAC)

Job Description Job Description We're currently looking for an experienced Boiler Technician for ongoing commercial work in the Greater Sacramento area! Job Description: Install, service, and maintain commercial boilers of all sizes and types, including gas-fired, electric, water, and steam systems Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair boiler systems and components Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on boilers and associated equipment Troubleshoot and repair boiler controls, pumps, piping, and related mechanical/electrical components Test and calibrate safety devices, controls, and instrumentation Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with local codes and safety regulations Monitor and adjust boiler operations to meet system demand and efficiency Perform system flushing and chemical treatment for water quality and corrosion control Replace or repair defective parts including valves, burners, gaskets, and heat exchangers Document service and maintenance activities accurately and promptly Respond to emergency service calls and resolve system failures quickly Qualifications: Minimum 3years of hands-on experience working with commercial boiler and/or HVAC systems Extensive knowledge of steam, hydronic, and high-efficiency boiler systems Proven experience with gas-fired, electric, water, and steam boiler operation and repair Strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system integration Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics EPA certification preferred; boiler certification/license highly desirable Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills Self-motivated with strong time management and attention to detail Iron Mechanical offers a competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) benefits, employer-paid life insurance, paid time off, and sick leave.
