About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac drip management experience required Description: Nursing professionals needed for step-down unit. Candidates must have experience managing and titrating cardiac drips. Position involves floating between units if overstaffed. Travelers will float to telemetry or medical-surgical floors as needed. Every other weekend is required. Expected patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:3-4. Candidates must commit to working 3 out of 5 holidays. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Unit supports a variety of patient diagnoses, including CHF, atrial fibrillation, and post cardiac interventions. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Must be able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage vasoactive drips. Patient care includes telemetry monitoring and wound care. Travelers may be expected to float to nearby facilities when necessary.
