Our passion and creative drive ensure that we are an innovative force – across the globe at over 70 TRUMPF locations.This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairing TRUMPF CNC machines while building and developing strong customer relationships. This position requires travel 100% nationwide, including overnight stays and occasional weekend and international travel.At TRUMPF, you benefit from a true wealth of experience and ability discover many new locations – as you look after our customers' machines.Field Service Engineer Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork closely with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within expected tolerance.Work carefully with the Product Support for technical assistance and provide them with diagnostic feedbackUse visual clues, computer programs, diagnostic tools to further diagnose machine difficultiesRead and utilize company repair manuals and work orders for assistance with repairs, if needed offer suggestions for adjusting/updating existing technical documentationAssemble, install, align equipment, clean, replace or install parts to maintain smooth operation of machinery and equipmentAccurately report technical conditions and information of machines to PSG and managementInterface with cross functional work teams such as applications, sales, engineering, production, etc.Provide onsite training to customers for operation and/or repair of machinesSubmit organized and helpful service reports for each repair missionExperience and Education for Field Service EngineerAssociates program or technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience.Experience in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful.Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and record.Benefits Working at TRUMPFMedicalDental401K with MatchOver TimeCareer Path DevelopmentPaid time offParental LeaveTRUMPF Inc. endeavors to make TRUMPF careers pages accessible to any and all users.
