Litigation Associate

Key Responsibilities As a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney , you will: Represent employers, insurers, and third‑party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare settlement documents. Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as required. Analyze complex legal and factual issues to advise clients effectively. Negotiate and resolve claims in a client‑centered, efficient manner. Manage caseload independently while collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants. Maintain detailed communication and reporting with clients and colleagues. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active membership in the California State Bar required. 2+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience (required; other practice areas not accepted). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient in technology and adaptable to a paperless workflow. Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision. Compensation & Schedule Location: California – Remote or In‑Office (Agoura Hills, Encino, Long Beach, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, and others). Schedule: Full‑time, flexible hybrid or remote arrangement. Billable Target: 40 hours/week (additional hours count toward bonuses; legal assistants’ billed hours can contribute).
