Join our growing team and help shape the future of pharmacy care.Position OverviewPersonalRx is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacist In Charge to lead our East Rutherford, New Jersey pharmacy operations. This role carries full accountability for regulatory compliance, pharmacy operations, and team performance while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centered care.The ideal candidate brings deep pharmacy operations experience, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) with full accountability for pharmacy operationsEnsure compliance with all New Jersey Board of Pharmacy, state, and federal regulations, including DEA, Medicare, and Medicaid requirementsLead, mentor, and support a team of 5–10 pharmacists and pharmacy techniciansPartner with the Operations Manager to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and maintain exceptional service levelsCollaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, service expansion, and operational improvementsManage pharmacy inventory, including procurement, storage, and controlled substance accountabilityOversee quality assurance programs, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement initiativesServe as the primary contact for regulatory inspections, audits, and third-party payer reviewsEvaluate, implement, and oversee pharmacy technology systems; ensure staff training and complianceResolve escalated patient issues while maintaining a high standard of patient-centered careQualificationsDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institutionActive, unrestricted New Jersey pharmacist license (required)Minimum 5–7 years of pharmacy operations experience, including 2+ years in a PIC or leadership roleStrong knowledge of USP, DEA, FDA, and NJ State Board of Pharmacy regulationsProven experience managing teams and workflows in a complex pharmacy environmentProficiency with pharmacy management systems and related softwareExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership skillsDemonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality, and service excellencePreferred QualificationsExperience in specialty, long-term care, or mail-order pharmacyFamiliarity with Medicare Part D and third-party payer processesStrong analytical, reporting, and process-improvement skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $135,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)Paid time off and paid holidaysProfessional development support and continuing education reimbursementCollaborative, mission-driven work cultureWhy Join PersonalRx?At PersonalRx, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day—enhancing medication safety, improving patient outcomes, and leading a talented pharmacy team in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.Apply today!
