Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with middle school learners in a self-contained environment
• Solid understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, data collection, and individualized instructional strategies
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to promote social, emotional, and academic growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and academic support in a self-contained special education classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Differentiate instruction based on students’ unique needs and learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure student success
• Cultivate a positive, supportive classroom environment while managing classroom routines and student behaviors effectively
• Maintain accurate records, attend IEP meetings, and communicate student progress regularly

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, 7:15am – 3:15pm, providing a balance of structure and personal time over a fulfilling school year cycle.
