Temporary Security Platform Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a Temporary Security Platform Engineer to support security engineering and operational initiatives across client and internal environments. Key Responsibilities Build, integrate, and maintain security tools, automations, and platform capabilities across cloud and on‑prem environments. Support vulnerability management, incident response, and monitoring by investigating findings and driving remediation actions. Develop and enhance automation (Python/PowerShell, SOAR) to streamline triage, enrichment, and response workflows. Partner with engineering and operations teams to deploy secure architectures and improve platform resiliency. Analyze security events/findings, communicate risk clearly, and recommend prioritized fixes to technical and business stakeholders. Identify process gaps and implement scalable engineering improvements to strengthen overall security operations efficiency. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience). 3+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related technical role within a dynamic environment. Hands‑on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and security platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management tools. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and modern infrastructure (APIs, containers, microservices). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Benefits Compensation Range: $28 - $42 per hour. The role offers flexibility in schedule and is a temporary position, supported by a competitive benefits package.
